Delete your account or data.
Request deletion from inside Motus Rancher or contact support without reinstalling the game.
Motus Rancher is played on an anonymous account, so there is nothing to log into here. You can read this page and make a deletion request without an account, without signing in, and without installing the game.
Request deletion by email
Email [email protected] with the subject Motus Rancher account deletion. You can use this route without having the app installed.
If your mail app does not open, copy the email address above. Sending a request does not immediately delete data; support needs to identify the account and verify ownership first.
- Tell us whether you want your server account deleted, cloud backups deleted, or help erasing local data.
- Include your trainer name and any non-secret account identifier you already have. If you can still open the game, the account id is shown to you on the ACCOUNT & DATA screen. A trainer name alone may not prove ownership.
- Tell us whether you can still open the account on a device. Support will explain an appropriate verification step.
Do not send your recovery code, login tokens, raw health records or identity documents in the initial email. If ownership cannot be established, we may be unable to safely act on an anonymous account.
Delete from the app
Open the Den menu and choose ACCOUNT & DATA. The game shows you what will go and what will stay; to confirm, type DELETE ACCOUNT exactly. That row sits next to RESET DATA and works even if you never turned Cloud Save on, so you never have to enable backup in order to delete.
If you do use Cloud Save, the same controls are also reachable from CLOUD SAVE → DATA & ACCOUNT, which is where you can delete cloud backups only and keep the account. To erase the copy held on your phone, use RESET DATA in the same Den menu.
You do not need the app for any of this. The email route above works without installing or reinstalling the game.
What the choices mean
You can delete everything, or only part of it. The three choices are separate and you may use any one of them on its own.
- Delete cloud backups only (Cloud Save → DATA & ACCOUNT → Delete all cloud backups): removes the stored cloud-save revisions and disables Cloud Save. Your server account keeps existing and your local save is untouched. This is the partial option — use it if you want to stop backing up without giving up the account.
- Delete the server account (Den menu → ACCOUNT & DATA): removes the anonymous server account and everything held under it, including its cloud-save revisions and your entries on shared rankings. It does not erase the save on your phone.
- Erase local data (Den menu → RESET DATA, or uninstall): affects only the copy on the device. Revoking Health Connect permission in Android settings stops future access but does not by itself erase fitness data the game has already recorded locally; use RESET DATA for that.
Shared rankings are handled as part of the same request, not as a separate one you have to chase. When the server account is deleted, your entry is removed from every Tower board it appears on before the account itself is deleted. If any board cannot be cleared, nothing is deleted at all and the game tells you the deletion did not complete, so you can retry — we do not leave an identifier on a public board belonging to an account that no longer exists.
What is deleted, what is kept, and for how long
Deleted straight away. An in-app account deletion is carried out while you wait. There is no grace period, no queue and no recovery window. Once the game reports success, the anonymous server account, its cloud-save revisions and your entries on shared Tower boards are gone, and the login credentials held on the device are forgotten. It cannot be undone and the account cannot be restored afterwards.
Kept on your phone, because it is yours. Deleting the server account does not touch the save on your device; your monsters stay exactly where they are. Use RESET DATA, or uninstall the game, to erase that copy.
Kept for a limited time, and why. Two things outlive the request. Encrypted infrastructure backups of the server database expire on their own rolling schedule; they exist only so the service can be restored after a failure and are never used to bring a deleted account back. Support correspondence about a deletion request is kept as the record that we acted on it, and is deleted once that is no longer needed. Neither is used to rebuild your account, your saves or your rankings.
Email requests are not instant. Support will confirm the verification step, tell you the expected completion date, and name anything that has to be retained for a documented reason. Do not send sensitive data to speed a request up.
Cosmetic purchases and deletion
Optional one-time cosmetic purchases are planned, with no recurring billing. Deleting an account may remove access to cosmetics linked to that account; ask support about purchase restoration before deletion. Deletion does not automatically issue a refund or erase transaction records held by the store. Any necessary transaction retention and restoration rules will be explained before paid products launch.
